I had this story brewing in my head for many years now. I actually wrote the first draft of the first chapter probably more than three years ago. I had the idea for this story even before I finished "Ready To Fall", my first Gakuen Alice fan fiction. I know that sounds like a really long time to brew a story, but I'm kinda glad I waited. I can confidently say that the details and the progression of the current version of the story is way better than when I first conceptualized it. I'm really happy about this current version and I can't wait to share it to other Gakuen Alice Fans, especially the Natsume-Mikan Fans.
This story, like with Ready To Fall, doesn't really follow the manga version. I've only able to read English Translations of the Manga just recently, and I think it'll be a mess if I change the details now, just so my fan fiction can adapt to the original story. Hey, that's why it's fan fiction, right?
Winter Song is set 10 years from when Mikan first set foot in the Academy, and about five years since Ready To Fall. Yes, this is kind of a sequel, but you don't have to read the first one to be able to understand this one (but it'll be very much appreciated if you read it though. Just follow the links if you're interested). Mikan and the gang were about to graduate from the Academy. They have just finished their final exams when Natsume got called for his last Mission. Mikan didn't want him to go, but he insisted that he had to. So he went, but didn't come back.
